Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs (MNG-HA) in collaboration with King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) and in cooperation with the Saudi Society of Medical Genetics (SSMG) concluded the Advances in Medical Genetics Course activities on the 5th of May 2016 in the Deanship of Postgraduate Training Center.
This activity objective was to shed light on several topics such as describing the latest advances in the field of Genetics and distinguish advantages and disadvantages between various methodologies for optimal patient care, presenting updated information on technologies and topics in the Genetics field. In addition, Train the geneticist on the variant interpretation of whole exome and whole genome sequencing, recognize the limitations and applications of advanced molecular genetic testing, and last but not least, describe the latest advances in the treatment and management of Genetics Disorders.
It is worth to mention that the Advances in Medical Genetics Course activities targeted clinical geneticist, pediatricians, molecular geneticist, genetic counselors and scientists and was accredited with CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
