Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Al Madinah celebrated last week the “Gulf Oral Health Week” where The Executive Director of Medical Services, PMBAH Dr. Waleed Al Yafi commenced the ceremony, which was held in hospital’s main Entrance, by cutting the opening ribbon for the awareness exhibition.

The exhibition, which was organized by the Dental Department in collaboration with PHC and Medical Education Department and was sponsored by a number of private health care providers, has witnessed a huge attendance from visitors and staff whom admired the different educational corners in the exhibition which covered all oral health topics.

The exhibition included a special corner for dental health care for children, corner for dental implants, corner for dental dentures, corner for cosmetic dentistry, corner for oral health care and diabetes, corner for oral health care during pregnancy and a special corner for infection control.

In addition, the celebration activities included number of lectures presented by Dr. Khaled Al Zahrany, Dr. Saleh Bashnini and Dr. Raghda Mohammed where the lectures aimed to increase the awareness level of the society about how to reinforce oral health and dental care through correcting some common bad habits and defining the correct medical methods for oral and dental health care. 

On the other hand, Dr. Raghda Mohammed, A/Manager of Dental department, PMBAH said that this celebration and the included educational activities about oral health and dental care are targeting different segments in the society and these segments are, children, their parents, doctors, dental technicians and all staff related to oral and dental health care especially the decision makers.
