His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Madina Province, patronized the closing ceremony of the International Congress " the Middle East and North African Hematology & the 8th Arab Hematology and the Seventeenth of the Saudi Society of Hematology" organized by Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Hospital for Health Affairs, and in the presence of a number of directors of government organizations and dignitaries in the region.
The ceremony began with a video clip of the conference organizing committee, which presented a series of statistics and data on blood diseases internationally and locally. Followed by a speech for patients of blood diseases presented by Faiza Susi reviewed through her story with leukemia, and the stages of the struggle during which her medical trip in the health affairs of the Ministry of National Guard, which culminated thanks to Allah Almighty to complete success and recovery from the disease, her thanks to everyone who contributed to it, her family ,the community and all members of the health staff of health affairs at the Ministry of National Guard at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Hospital Medina and King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh.
The Chief Medical Officer of Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs, Dr. Saad bin Abdul Aziz Al Mohrij expressed his thanks to His Highness the Prince of Madinah region for sponsoring the Congress, noting with pride and pride we are witnessing progress and prosperity in various fields under the wise government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince. The Ministry of National Guard and follow-up instructions from His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of the National Guard, have always sought to maintain standards of excellence and to improve the health, academic and academic services provided to the leading sectors of the National Guard.
At the end of the ceremony His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah honored the most prominent participants in the conference, HE the Dean of Taibah University Dr. Abdulaziz bin Qablan Al-Sarani, the Chief Medical Officer of Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs Dr. Saad bin Abdul Aziz Al Mohrij, and the speaker on behalf the patients Faiza Susi. Moreover, Dr. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohrij presented a gift to the Prince on behalf of the participants.
It is worth mentioning that Congress was attended by more than 750 specialists in each session. It witnessed the participation of a number of scientists and specialists and more than 62 residents representing more than 23 countries from around the world. They presented more than 123 lectures within 32 specialized scientific sessions. They discussed more than 122 scientific papers of which 34 were accepted as research lectures and presented during the congress. The congress was with a collaboration of a large number of national and international specialized and academic institutions, notably the Middle East and North Africa Federation of Hematology, The European Hematology Association (EHA), the Research Center of King Faisal Specialist hospital, Pan-Arab Hematology Association, International Society of Hematology (ISH), Saudi Stem Cell Society, Saudi Association of Blood Disorders, AL Madinah Hereditary Blood Disorders Charity Society, and Al Madinah center for hematological hematology at Maternity and Children Hospital, and King Abdulaziz University and University of Taibah.
The Congress aimed to provide the opportunities for doctors, researchers, specialists and health practitioners to communicate and exchange experiences with their counterparts at the national and international levels to promote health care services in general and in blood diseases in particular, through discussing the latest developments and medical researchers in the field, and initiating the establishment of cooperative relations between specialized national and international institutions and centers. The congress included great scientific and medical content wither its scientific papers or workshops, supervised by the best expertise in blood diseases and its correlation with the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology. It is expected to produce recommendations that benefit the health care procurement in line with the Vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. The Congress is accredited 31 hours of continuing medical education by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
