Infection Prevention & Control Department, Prince Muhammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital, Ministry of National Guard’s Health Affairs has hosted the World Hepatitis Day’s awareness campaign on Monday the 29th of July 2019, in cooperation with a number of PMBAH’s departments including Pharmaceutical Care, Laboratory departments and the Primary Healthcare Center, National Guard’s Health Affairs.
This event aimed to raise awareness and educate the society of this disease, its various types, the most prominent symptoms of the disease, modes of transmission and the available treatments. Additionally, awareness of the vaccination importance, the various types of vaccines and infection prevention measures were addressed.
The event was held at the lobby of the main entrance. It included an awareness exhibition that attracted a number of visitors in addition to several educational booths for patients, families, and staff. Gifts, brochures, and educational handbooks were distributed among visitors and all inquiries were properly addressed.
