Under the patronage of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs(MNG-HA), President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) held the 7th Scientific Research Conference in the Eastern Region, with the presence of a large number of researchers, and medical professionals at the main hall of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Al-Ahsa.
In addition, H.E. said in the opening ceremony "MNG-HA and KSAU-HS are proud to be a source of encouragement for scientific research” adding "The conference is one of the most important and prominent scientific conferences, bringing together researchers and specialists in this field, whose studies and research have contributed to raising the level of medical service provided to the patients".
He also added, "The keenness and number of participants demonstrate the importance of this medical event as well the wide participation of the various hospitals and universities in the Kingdom is evidence that the conference is one of the most important conferences that the specialists are looking forward to with great care".
Moreover, he mentioned that "Scientific research in the medical field is one of the areas in which the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, has been supported greatly to achieve 2030 vision. We have witnessed a remarkable development in the quality and quantity of research provided, and undoubtedly have a positive impact on raising the level of health in terms of quality".
Also, the Regional Executive Director of MNG-HA in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, stated that “The conference gives the opportunity to meet researchers from various fields, scientific and medical institutions, as well exchange experiences, discuss the possibility of working on joint research, and motivate students and physicians to conduct researches” adding “The conference is one of the most prominent conferences that meet a great participation; success of achieving its objectives, in which it is held in a purely scientific atmosphere, and according to international standards”.
Head of King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, Eastern Research Center, DR. Ali Al Qarni, said that " The presented researches were from different universities and hospitals; students and physicians and the number of presented research are more than 140 research, 20 verbal lectures were selected, whereas the rest participated as research posters and were subjected to specialized judges who selected winners of each category".
He also added," Researches and researchers are supported from various sides, including (KAIMRC) which provides scientific and financial support to researchers, as well as supported from universities and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology".
Last but not least, he explained that "The participations are of high quality and proficiency, and we received contributions from all parts of the Kingdom, because such research promotes the service provided to the patients in terms of quality and it is considered one of the medical knowledge resources on which to build evidence-based medicine, which is a modern revolution in health sector".
