The Safety Management Department - Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Hospital; Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs - Dammam conducted a workshop entitled:” Best Practices Exchange to apply the Facility Management and Safety (FMS) standards”. The workshop aimed to interchange different experiences among NGHA hospitals in the field of safety management.

Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital - Dammam pointed out that: “The importance of this workshop lies in the inspection of all safety departments in NGHA hospitals to reach common policies and recommendations in order to achieve the best results in complying with international accreditation, as NGHA hospitals are internationally accredited by major accreditation institution”.
Specialists from all NGHA hospitals such as
king Abdulaziz Medical City - Riyadh,
king Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah,
king Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa and
Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Madinah participated in this workshop.
Moreover, the workshop included several lectures along with discussion sessions that focused on facility management and safety requirements.
The discussions have covered vital topics such as the possibility of benefiting from Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals’ experiences, how they became accredited and the obstacles they had to overcome.
In addition, the workshop included 5 intensive lectures, and was accredited with 2 CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
