The Department of Medicine- King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa in collaboration with the Academic Affairs conducted the Internal Medicine Conference in which a comprehensive review of all diseases, methods of treatments and the latest updates was presented.
Furthermore, several topics were highlighted such as Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) preventive measures, obesity, diabetes, Hypertension, kidney cancer, ICU patients and parenteral nutrition, chronic chest diseases, acute renal failure, lupus as well as Hepatitis B and C.
Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs in the Eastern Region pointed out that the scientific papers presented covered all internal sections and diseases and are subject to a specialized scientific committee follow-up in order to provide a high-value medical material.
Lastly, the conference was held for two consecutive days with the participation of more than 160 physicians and included lectures and workshops accredited with CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
