The Pediatrics Section at Imam Abdurrahman bin Faisal in Dammam held the Premature Babies Conference. The conference was attended by a large number of specialists, consultants and technicians.
Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region said that the conference was held for the first time to educate people about taking care of premature babies before and after birth.
He pointed out that several sections participated in the conference, such as Pediatrics, Neonatal intensive care, Nutrition education, Breastfeeding, Infection control, Respiratory therapy and Ob/Gyn.
Recently, many conferences and events are organized, in order to reduce cases of premature birth and their side-effects by raising the awareness of the community.
