The Department of Internal Medicine at King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Al-Ahsa, National Guard Health Affairs organized the 8th conference of Internal Medicine Diseases which aims to address all internal diseases. The Regional Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs - Eastern Region said: “this conference is being held periodically and continuously and it is considered one of the most important conferences which thoroughly review all internal diseases."
He added "We also review the latest research and studies in the medical field all over the world, giving a real opportunity for participants to renew and refresh their medical knowledge where the scientific papers that are introduced are submitted for a review by a specialized scientific committee, so that the materials submitted are of a great medical value”.
On the other hand, the Conference President and the Head of Internal Medicine at King Abdulaziz Hospital, Dr. Hani Mustafa said "the conference is held for its eighth year, and covers several diseases, including cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, hematology, infectious diseases, endocrinology, diabetes and oncology. The conference was held for two consecutive days and included lectures, workshops that were accredited with 24 CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties”. According to Dr. Hani, the conference is important due to do its mission in continuously updating the information of internal medicine workers. The conference’s workshops included methods on how to treat and manage diabetes and blood diseases.
Finally, more than 150 physicians from inside and outside the National Guard Health Affairs participated in this conference along with an exhibition of sponsoring companies.
