Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital in Dammam held a conference on the "Latest Developments in Internal Medicine", with the an audience exceeding 240 people. Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region said: “this conference complements an ongoing series of programs and events that highlight the latest medicine developments in all disciplines."
He added: "The conference covered the internal medicine related topics in order to to raise and enhance the efficiency of doctors, consultants, family physicians, general physicians, residents, interns and nurses”. It also hosted a number of specialized speakers who presented their lectures on the latest studies of internal medicine’s subspecialties.
Moreover, the organizing committee was keen on making this event an interactive conference through the why scientific papers were presented along with the participation of the audience in which included discussion dialogues. The conference topics included several updates on cardiology, pulmonary, gastroenterology rheumatology, hematology, oncology, endocrinology, nephrology, and psychology.
Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj further explained that: “the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affaires has always sought to achieve its goals by adopting many conferences, seminars and workshops, which aims to address the scientific and medical developments to improve the performance quality that ultimately will help in providing state of the art patient care”.
