It gives me great pleasure to announce that on January 26th, 2010 the Information Services & Informatics Division (ISID) was the recipient of the Excellence in Electronic Health Records Award at the Arab Health Awards 2010, Dubai, UAE. ISID, NGHA was the only Organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive an award.
The Arab Health Awards are the region’s most coveted awards in the healthcare industry and is part of the Middle East’s largest gathering of medical professionals and practitioners. The awards recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals, hospitals, departments, teams, and organizations that have contributed to the growth and development of the Arab Health industry.
The Excellence in Electronic Health Records Award is presented to the hospital that has made the greatest advances in development of electronic health records for their facility. The enhanced transparency of financial management and reporting, increased efficiency and functionality of hospital management, and most importantly, the contributions to improved quality and safety of patients are key components for this award.
Proudly, we are an organization that continues to demonstrate our ability to adapt to new practices and technology and our commitment to excellence. We consistently reinforce that effective teamwork is critically important in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
In our continued pursuance of excellence and with the teamwork and contributions of ISID, in addition to the unity of the entire NGHA Organization, we will continue to promote and enhance developmental, innovative, state-of-the-art practices both nationally and internationally.
