King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) Executive Director Dr. Ahmed Alaskar extended his appreciation towards His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard for his patronage of the KAIMRC 6th Annual Scientific Forum, which kicks off on Tuesday and continue until the 10th of December 2015 in the Convention Center at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh.
Dr. Ahmed Alaskar also extended his gratitude towards H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy for his continuous support and guidance to KAIMRC in order to shape up the future of the the development of healthcare methods in the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs.
In addition, Dr. Alaskar pointed out that the conference, which lasts for three days, will host a group of international speakers in the field of research, and aims to be – a focal point - between decision-makers and clinical researchers, to further encourage collaboration by highlighting possible overlapping research areas and boost competition among researchers.
The conference will also target scientists, clinical health and biomedical students in addition to research sponsors and administrators, where 162 Research Papers, 38 presentations and 124 poster will be presented.
It is worth mentioning that His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard is the honorary president of the Saudi Stem Cells Donor Registry, which broke the 15,000 donors record stem to mark a world records being the only Registry in the Middle East. And this honorary presidency represents the leadership’s substantial support of scientific research.
It should be noted that King Abdullah International Medical Research Center includes a number of projects such as Bone Marrow and Stem Cells Transplantation Program, the Saudi Stem Cells Donor Registry and the Cord Blood Bank, in addition to the Injury Research, and the Research Office, Genome Medical Research, Innovation and Patents Program, Technology Transfer, training programs, Stem Cells Unit, Regenerative Medicine, Experimental Medicine, Nanomedicine, Pharmacokinetics and Bioequivalence.
