
The activities of the Summer Training Program for Research, organized by King Abdullah International Medical Research Center in King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, began on July 4, 2009 and will last for six consecutive weeks concluding on August 11, 2009.
This program aims to train the medical student in medical research skills and commit to professional research ethics. It is considered as a link between Saudi universities and research centers.
At the end of the program, the students will receive an accredited certificate including the period of the program and the type of training.
Twenty five students have joined this program from five colleges of Medicine which are: College of Medicine in King Fahad Medical City ,College of Medicine King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, College of Medicine in King Saud University, College of Medicine in King Khaled University and the College of Medicine in Tabouk University.
This step is a precedent in the field of research as it is the first program of its kind in the Middle East.
The program Committee includes the most distinguished consultants from King Abdullah International Research Center, KASU and KAMC who are experienced in the field of research in order to develop the necessary skills of those students who will be future medical researchers.
