In line with providing optimal patients medical services, an additional pharmacy was opened in the Department of Emergency Medicine  at King Abdulaziz Medical City - Riyadh in order to speed up the patients discharge process from the ER.

Dr. Saad Al Obaidy, the Assistant Director of Pharmaceutical Care Services, mentioned that the ER  continuously receives a large number of patients. Therefore, the additional new pharmacy will be designated to cut the waiting time so discharged patients are able to process their new prescriptions, while  the previous pharmacy will be designated for patients who are still in the ER.

Moreover, Dr. Saleh Al Dekhail, Director of Pharmaceutical Care Services, pointed out that the capacity of the new pharmacy is very high and it is fully equipped with modern techniques to better save the patients in a timely matter.
