King Abdul Aziz Medical City in the Ministry of National Guard in the Western Sector "Postgraduate Medical Education Department" received the full institutional accreditation by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for four years. Dr. Jamilah AlRahimi, Director of Postgraduate Medical Education commented that this institutional accreditation obtained by King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah reflects excellence in meeting all the standards of training requirements that contribute to the achievement of national excellence in health training and to build and develop national capacities.
Dr. Al-Rahimi also pointed out that the Institutional and program accreditation in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties aims for providing and harnessing all administrative, educational and clinical resources in the training centers for the postgraduate professional healthcare programs(General Board Certificate, Subspecialty Fellowship or Health Professional Diploma) supervised by SCFHS. As a result, it creates an ideal learning environment based on health education principles for both trainers and trainees, and it allows trainees to be highly trained and qualified for safe professional practice. Institutional Accreditation is the process of accrediting training
centers after meeting the institutional accreditation standards, allowing the center to be part of the training process. .
