Social Service Department at King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital organized an entrainment activity for the children at King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children in the waiting area of the outpatient clinics, on Sunday and Monday , the 9th and 10th of August 2015, in collaboration with a number of volunteers, aiming to change the negative perception of children towards hospitals.
The activities included educational and recreational corners to keep the kids brains active and to help in developing their intellect such as growing seedlings, masks making, coloring by using sand, and a studio corner.
It is worth mentioning that a number of voluntary groups were keen on being present to contribute to the success of certain activities such as Maeen Group, Bna Almofakreen, in addition to Bushra Al Qans who is a painter. The volunteers set up a studio to which including a photo-shoot of the children wearing costumes representing various professions. Last but not least, Ms. Bushra and the children participated in a to infuse the spirit of optimism in the hearts of patients then it was presented as a gift to the Social Service Department to raise the morale of the department’s visitors and patients.
