
The College of American Pathologists recently accredited the Laboratory Department in Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital ,Dammam with the CAP Accreditation and Laboratory Improvement as one of the leading laboratories in the world.
The College offers international recognition and accreditation in confirmation of the quality in the efficiency of laboratory tests it inspects. The accreditation program aims to improve patient safety through providing quality services related to pathology, laboratory, awareness, setting standards and ensuring that the laboratory regulatory requirements meet the established measures.
Upon successfully completing the screening process, the laboratory is then awarded the accreditation certification from the College of American pathologists, making the Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital Laboratory Department one of the outstanding laboratories around the world, meeting the criteria of excellence at the highest levels.
The NGHA regional executive manager in the Eastern province, Dr. Ahmad Al-Arfaj said: “The Laboratory Department continuously seeks to develop and update its services in accordance with the latest state of the art modern technical equipment to ensure accuracy and speedy results.”
This accomplishment for the Laboratory Department at Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital - Dammam is considered a major national achievement, and the participation of the hospital in worldly major evaluations is a testimony for its continuous effort to ensure quality services and to provide a level of efficiency in being a superior health care provider, making a model laboratory for other regional laboratories.
