Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region launched the Toxicology Center at King Abdulaziz Hospital -Al Ahsa. This center is one of the specialized centers in deducting all types of toxins that considered a quantum leap which would have a significant impact on supporting laboratory department in the hospital.
Dr. Al Arfaj noted that “The building is one floor with advanced medical equipment that provides high quality results”. He added: “ The Center includes four functional laboratories that receive sample from the patients for medical and non-medical drug test around the clock at KAH- Al Ahsa”.
The center is equipped with the most developed instruments to perform the assigned tasks such as Gas Chromatography instruments, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography instruments, ICP-MASS instrument, Drug Chemistry Analyzers.
This project comes after a series of development projects which is in the interest of achieving the work. It aims to present an easy yet accurate results in addition to meet the expected quality and standards.
