On Monday the 23rd of March at King Abdulaziz Medical City, His Royal Highness Lieutenant–General Prince Meteb bin Abdullah the Deputy Chief of the National Guard for Military Affairs launched a number of new medical departments and units.
The CEO of the National Guard Health Affairs and the President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Abdulmohsen Al Knawy and a number of other officials at the National Guard Health Affairs were there to greet His Royal Highness upon his arrival to the medical city.
His Royal Highness cut the opening ribbon and went on a tour of the new departments and was briefed on their potential benefits by Dr. Al Knawy who gave a detailed explanation about these newly established projects.
The departments launched include a new adult step-down care unit with the capacity for 14 beds and the latest medical equipment as well as a newborn intermediate care unit which has been updated to a 32-bed facility.
During His Royal Highness’ visit to the medical city he also launched new Vascular Catheterization Unit as well as an expansion to the newborn nursery which now can accommodate 42 beds.
Dr. Al Knawy also stressed on how these projects will contribute greatly to the advancement of the health services provided by the NGHA.
