The Executive
Director of Operations in the Ministry of
National Guard Health Affairs, Western Region, His Excellency Colonel Eng. Khalid Mohammad
Bakalka, launched the 15th annual Social Service Conference "Techniques of
Professional Practice In Social Services" on the 11th of March 2015. The Conference which
was organized byKing
Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah represented by the Social Services Department in
collaboration with the Postgraduate Studies and Academic Affairs in
KSAU-HS
lasted for two days and was held at the convention Center, Deanship of postgraduate Studies.
The conference
was commenced with a speech delivered by
Mr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Social Worker I in KAMC-JDH on behalf of all social workers, in
which he explained the importance of social workers integration and the support that this
profession deserves due to the significant role in alleviating the patient's pressure and
suffering.
After that, Mr.
Abdulaziz Al Harazi, the Associate
Executive Director of Operations, NGHA, Western Region and Head of the Organizing Committee,
pointed out that the conference highlighted the importance of utilizing the therapeutic
techniques in the professional practice of social services.
Then, Dr.
Mansour Al Qurashi, Associate Dean of Graduate
Studies and Academic Affairs, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Jeddah
pointed out that the KSAU-HS’s interest in Social services at King Abdulaziz Medical City is not
limited to the medical aspects only, but it also includes all factors related to patients'
satisfaction and their families. Dr. Mansour also expressed his appreciation to H.E. Chief
Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of King Saud bin
Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy for his continuous support.

by the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties (SCHS) by 14 CME
hours.
