King Abdulaziz Hospital in Al-Ahsa has become the fourth medical facility of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs to launch the New Laboratory Information System project in the hospital and its primary health care centers, after it was launched in the central region of King Abdulaziz Medical City - Riyadh, then Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah and its primary health care centers as a second stage, followed by Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Madinah as the third phase.
The launching ceremony of the new system was attended by the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, Executive Director of Information Services and Informatics Division, Dr. Raed AlHazme, Deputy Executive Regional Director, Mr. Saud Al-Bugami, Deputy Executive Regional Director of Medical Services, Dr. Ali Al Qarni, Associate Executive Director of Corporate Enterprise Medical Systems Mr. Mousa Al Motairi, Laboratory Operations Director in King Abdulaziz Hospital Mr. Ibrahim AlShahrani, Director of Information Services Engr. Abdulmalek Al-Ismaiel, in addition to a number of related departments’ management personnel.
King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa marks the fourth phase, and the fifth and last phase of the project will be launching the system in Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital – Dammam to finalize this advanced digital project and achieves its desired objectives that is in line with the nation's vision.
