On April 23, the Primary Healthcare center – Madinah celebrated the World Health Day 2014 for two days through a variety of educational activities under the title of “You Are King and Your Health Is Your Crown”.

Several managerial and medical staff of NGHA in Madinah attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony, which took place in the events tent at the PHC, began by reciting verses of the Holy Quran, then the PHC Director, Dr. Turkey Al Mutairi made a speech welcoming all PHC guests.

After that, Dr. Walid Al Yafi, Executive Director, Medical Services, PMBAH - Madinah spoke about how he valued  the efforts of the PHC in promoting health educational. 

The event included an educational exhibition which consisted of several medical venues focusing on health subjects such as dental and oral health, infectious diseases, obesity and hygiene.

A number of lectures and educational and entertaining activities were also incorporated within the program. On the first day of the ceremony, organizers performed a show to demonstrate the change in overall health conditions throughout history, highlighting the importance of exercising and being physically active in improving health. The second day included several educational lectures discussing common health issues in the society such as Vitamin D deficiency and healthy nutrition.
