Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) would like to announce the 4th Medical Career Day (MCD4) which will be held on from February 23rd to 25th, 2010 at the King Fahad Cultural Center, Riyadh. Participating in this day are 12 international experts from prestigious universities and associations in addition to more than 30 speakers from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event aims to highlight King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program and to present training opportunities available both locally and abroad.
Dr. Mohammed Al Moamary, President of the Organizing Committee and Associate Dean Clinical Affairs, College of Medicine, KSAU-HS said that the University aims through this event to create a suitable environment to discuss the future opportunities for those who study in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Furthermore, they hope on this days to open new doors for those who seek employment and training in whatever field they choose.
The Organizing Committee has prepared interactive seminars and workshops to develop the skills of writing CVs and training in ways of dialogue, interviews and debates as well as how to chose the right specialty as the 2nd day will cover more than 30 specialties.
Dr. Mohammed Al Moamary pointed out that registration closed early due to the large number of participants reaching more than 2500.
The 4th Medical Career Day is accredited with 17 CME/PD hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. It is worth noting that the idea of a Medical Career Day began through student initiatives then later on received strong support from a number of universities and the Ministry of Higher Education in an effort to strengthen many fields, particularly education and health.
