MMR Vaccination Campaign

In reference to the Ministry of Health's circular on the conduct of a National Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) Vaccination campaign for age population of 9 months to 24 years old, the Infection Prevention & Control Department (IP&C) of the National Guard Health Affairs (NGHA) will conduct this campaign in two stages:
 
•First stage: Starting 25 September 2011 for 5 weeks
◦Target population: School children 6 to 18 years old

•Second stage: Starting 3 December 2011 for 5 weeks
◦Target population: Children aged 9 months to less than 6 years; and Adults aged 19 to 24 years.
  
All NGHA population including healthcare workers and their dependents whose age ranges fall within the abovementioned categories are required to take the vaccine within the specified periods. IP&C will launch the first stage of the campaign on 25 September 2011. Public Health vaccination team will visit schools within the National Guard Housing premises such as: Prince Bader (College), King Abdulaziz (Khashmalan) and King Saud (Dirab).
