The Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (NGHA) represented by Drug Policy and Economics Center in collaboration with King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) will host the (1st Saudi International Conference on Pharmaceutical Policy, Economics & Outcomes) on the 20th of October 2014 at the KSAU-HS Convention Center – Riyadh, The conference will be held for 3 days.
The goal behind hosting this conference is to benefit from the international experience in pharmaceutical policy and economic in order to improve the quality of health outcomes and manage the escalating healthcare costs., to describe the importance of National Pharmaceutical economics/ Submission Guidelines in improving pharmaceutical reimbursement decision-making processes by health care sectors, to introduce the concepts of performance-based/ outcomes-based risk sharing agreements between healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical companies, to discuss the latest development in value-based pricing of pharmaceuticals, to introduce US Managed Care System and Pharmacy Benefit Management, to discuss the utilizing of some strategies to improve the quality of health outcomes and manage the escalating healthcare costs of Managed Care System and Pharmacy Benefit Management.
