Moroccan Siamese Twins Sa’eedah and Azeezah arrived to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday morning the 23rd of May 2009 following the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He had directed that the twins and their parents be welcomed and that the necessary tests be provided in separating the twins in King Abdulaziz Medical City in the National Guard – Riyadh.
Upon their arrival the twins were taken by an ambulance to KAMC where they were received by a specialized medical team. Clinical examinations and basic tests will be conducted to evaluate the possibility of performing a successful separation procedure.
This is the third set of Moroccan twins to be separated in the Kingdom. It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia has conducted twenty two successful separations under the patronage of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
The head of the Multidisciplinary Team, Dr. Abduallah Al-Rabeeah, praised the caring gesture of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in transferring the Moroccan twins and providing all that is necessary for their separation.
