The Neonatal Intensive Care Department at the Women's Health Hospital organized the “Neonatal Research Day," underscoring the pivotal role of scientific research in enhancing the quality of healthcare provided to newborns.
Key research areas within the department were discussed, including studies on respiratory disorders, thermoregulation, hemodynamics, metabolic bone diseases, neonatal surgery, and maternal–fetal medicine. The event also highlighted the initiative to screen all newborns for the G6PD enzyme, as well as work pathways aimed at reducing the need for admission to the neonatal intensive care unit.
In addition, the event showcased notable research achievements, including national and international scientific publications, the development of a specialized research database, the strengthening of multidisciplinary collaboration, participation in global conferences, and the establishment of international research partnerships that contribute to advancing neonatal intensive care practices.
