Activities of the 10th Annual Diabetes Educators Course which lasted for one month were concluded yesterday with the presence of His Excellency Colonel Eng. Khalid Mohammad Bakalka, Executive Director of Operations, NGHA, Western Region, Dr. Mansour Al Jundi, Executive Director of Medical Services, Western Region and Dr. Mansour Al Qurashi, Associate Dean of Postgraduate Education and Academic Affairs,KSAU-HS, Jeddah in collaboration with KSAU-HS and a number of specialists and consultants in this field. In addition, 30 nurses in various health fields participated in this event.

The ceremony began with a recitation from Holy Qur'an then Dr. AbdulAziz AlTwaim, Head of the Organizing Committee explained that the aim of this course is providing students with essential information and skills that will support health care providers and expand their knowledge and professional experience when interacting with patients.

Dr. AlTwaim shed light on the psychological and physical struggles of diabetic patients, their families and the community in general. He explained that health education tremendously helps in cutting costs on the long run.  Then, Asma Al Tassan gave a speech on behalf of the graduates where she thanked the NGHA and the Organizing Committee for all their efforts.

Dr. Mansour Al Qurashi, Associate Dean of Postgraduate Education and Academic Affairs, explained that health education for diabetic patients is vital and important for living with this disease as well as being more exposed to  the latest developments diagnosis and treatment.

After that, Colonel Eng. Khalid Bakalka, pointed out that NGHA made grand efforts on carrying out its humanitarian mission and effectively contributes to providing the best healthcare services while focusing on developments in all areas .

At the end, graduates were honored and certificates were distributed.
