National Guard Health Affairs launched its No-Smoking Awareness Campaign on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), the campaign lasted for a week through mobile clinics and raise awareness among the target audience in all National Guard’s institutions, and it will continue their awareness programs throughout the year.
The opening ceremony was held at Dr. Sameer Bin Huraib Large Auditorium at King Abdul Aziz Medical City- Riyadh, and sponsored by Chief Operating Officer of National Guard Health Affairs, Dr.Abdullah Al-Ammari, who delivered a speech supporting the objectives of this campaign and expressed gratitude towards everyone who made this campaign successful.
Furthermore, two lectures were presented by Dr. Omar Almdefer, Consultant and Head of Psychiatry Department at National Guard Health Affairs and Mr. Mohammed Alnheet, exhibitions and mobile clinics representative for Purity Association.
This campaign includes many programs and activities that aim to eliminate the phenomenon of smoking by finding appropriate solutions through the establishing, following-up and supporting the concept of quitting smoking programs as well as promoting the perception of health awareness among the community to change the lifestyle and choose healthy alternative.
