King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) in King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa has conducted the Scientific Research Ethics course. According to Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, Regional Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs - Eastern Region, the course objective was raise the level of scientific merit and knowledge amongst researchers.
He said: “such meetings give an opportunity for researchers to share their expertise and encourage new researchers to be more involved in this field".
Furthermore, Dr. Ali Al-Qarni, Head of King Abdullah International Research Center in Al-Ahsa said: "the lecture which was delivered by Dr, Magdi Ahmed, a Consultant Psychiatrist, addressed the history of scientific research ethics and the historical problems that researchers have encountered".
In addition, the lecture has highlighted interest in research, and its social and financial role. Dr. Al-Qarni also pointed out that the lecturer has confirmed that there are scientific committees that guarantee the compliance of scientific research to the ethical and humanitarian standards".
