OBG-YN and Infants Ultrasound Imaging Foundation Course
Deanship of Higher Education at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) at Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (MNG-HA) in collaboration with The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital – Dammam, MNG-HA organized the “OBG-YN and Infants Ultrasound Imaging Foundation Course” which lasted three days and targeted gynecologists, radiologist and field-related medical staff. The course received 40 trainee from around the Kingdom and the Gulf countries.
The Regional Executive Director of MNG-HA, Dr. Ahmed Al Arfaj, - Eastern Region confirmed the importance of such conferences and associated workshops in helping doctors to always be up-to-date with the latest international developments, in addition to providing them with the best medical services for optimal patient healthcare.
Moreover, Head of the Scientific committee, Dr. Samiha Al-Awami, stressed the importance of focusing on the scientific field and the necessity of learning the correct methods on how to conduct the fetal detailed anatomy , echocardiography and blood flow scans, in addition to fetus growth measurements in early and late pregnancies, as well as early detection of abnormalities and twins scan.
The scientific program also included safety issues, technical aspects for Ultrasound, writing reports of Obstetrics and Gynecology cases, in addition to a lecture which covered several significant issues for OBG-YN health practitioner.
It is worth mentioning that this course was accredited with CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
