Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital (PMBAH) - Almadinah launched last week the OSHA 30–Hour General Industry Training course under the auspices of the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Al Askar, the course was organized by both Safety Management and Training and Development Department in order to educate the hospital employees about the importance of workers’ rights and safety, through the reduction of work-related injuries and risks by providing work sites equipped with safety necessary means or imposing mandatory preventive measures, especially in high-risk sites.
The course that lasted for 5 days and accredited with 30 CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) covered several vital training topics, such as various working environments and strategies for emergency evacuation plans, fire prevention, electrical safety and communication mechanisms, flammable chemicals, and personal protective equipment. In addition, a whole hour was allocated for a hands-on training provided by the Fire Department in which fire-fighting procedures and fire control were covered.
At the end of the training course, the organizing department held a closing ceremony honoring the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Al Askar , in which he extended his appreciation towards the departments and their efforts, as well as the trainees for their keenness to raise their awareness levels on safety. Finally, the ceremony was concluded by distributing the course completion certificates for the trainees and commemorative plaques for the organizers.
