Based on the directives of the His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, Palestinian Conjoined Twins Hanin and Farah, accompanied by their father arrived in Riyadh by a medically-equipped evacuation airplane, following their arrival in Amman from Gaza City. The twins were admitted to the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs’ King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh to undergo the necessary checkups to determine the possibility of their separation surgery in cooperation with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief).
Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah pointed out that such efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership aims to alleviate human suffering wherever it is, while stressing Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince stand with the Palestinian people
Furthermore, Dr. Abdullah pointed out that the female twins are joined in the abdominal and pelvic region, each having one lower limb and share an abnormal third limb while also sharing some internal organs. He added that they need further medical tests to check the possibility of separating them.
On the other hand, H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, praised the generous guidance of His Highness the Crown Prince, adding that the medical system in our country and the achievements of our medical institutions made it a high-level health reference in all areas due to the great and continuous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, praying to Allah to grant success towards the efforts of the medical team.
