
Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs (MNG-HA) and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) will host the upcoming “Updates in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Conference” which will be held on the 4th of December 2016 in KSAU-HS Convention Center, and will last three days.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Hana Bamfleh stated that a group of the best physicians, interested and specialists in the field of pathology and laboratory will participate in the conference who represent a number of referral hospitals in the Kingdom in addition to a number of foreign experts coming from several countries.
Moreover, she clarified that the activities of the first day of the conference will consist of workshops that discuss different topics in regard to vital developments and diagnosis difficulties in pathology such as the diseases of the brain, nerves, immune system, skin, bones and Diagnostic Cytology, in addition to interactive workshops that will discuss the diagnostic challenges in lung, neck and kidney diseases.
Also, on the second and third days, a series of lectures will be presented regarding the last updates in diagnostic pathology; both histological and laboratory, as well the last updates in the accurate laboratory diagnosis of tumors, the immune system diseases and the newly constructed viral diseases.
At the end of her speech, she confirmed that the conference will also discuss topics related to increasing efficiency of the physicians and scientists working in the field of Pathology in the diagnosis of children’s tumors and connective tissue tumors. Last but not least, the conference will also discuss other topics such as the importance of laboratory quality management, last updates in using modern scientific techniques and their uses in histological and laboratory diagnosis , as well as in scientific research.
