The awareness campaign was launched on Sunday, July 7, 2019, organized by the Nursing Services Department - King Abdul-Aziz Medical City- Jeddah. The campaign aims at educating and raising awareness of the laws and regulations that helps to identify the correct identity of the patient to ensure safety and avoid errors by the right ways like confirming the patient's information by the medical bracelet and the full name of each patient. The campaign will be continued for a week and there will be a medical exhibition with the participation of nursing departments to educate and introduce preventive measures for patient safety.
The campaign was launched by Mr. Ahmed Al-Buluwi, Acting Executive Director Operations- Western Region with the presence of acting associate executive director nursing services Ms. Hadia Tabsh and other departments’ heads.
Ms. Hadia explained that the campaign contributes in raising the quality of the service provided to patients by raising awareness of employees and health care workers from all departments. It also contributes to raise the awareness of the community through education provided to all ages with educational and entertainment methods that make everyone a partner in the awareness. Ms. Hadia also mentioned that an educational visit will be conducted to all patients and employees.
