
His Royal Highness Prince Mitib bin Abdullah, Minister of State, member of the Council of Ministers and Commander of the National Guard will launch the Patient Safety Forum 2013 hosted by National Guard Health Affairs and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) on the 11th of April 2012. The forum will last for 3 days with the participation of a number of international and local experts and specialists and will be held in Makarim Convention Centre - Marriott Hotel – Riyadh.
Participating in this forum are a number of distinctive local and international organizations and health sectors as well as some of the most prominent professionals in the field of patient safety from the United States of America, Canada, Australia and Europe, in addition to speakers from the Arab world and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and a selection of experts and specialists from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The conference, through its scheduled sessions, will address important subjects including the global challenges in the field of patient safety, infectious diseases effects on patient safety and preventive methods, Institutional, culture and leadership, patient safety in surgery, reliability in designing health services and quality management, critical care quality and patient safety, medication safety in addition to the latest technologies, applications, and the best local and global practices and experiences in the field of patient safety.
Furthermore, the conference will also feature a number of specialized workshops in the fields of development, medication safety curriculum, venous catheter infection control, palliative care and patient safety, the use of simulation systems in patient safety programs, and other important topics.
