The Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs in the Eastern region, represented by the Quality and Patient Safety Department, celebrated the World Patient Safety Day. On this occasion, The Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj said: "This day is of great importance as it refers to patient safety and it is the goal we seek to achieve."
The event included an inspection tour conducted by Dr. Al Arfaj, that included all clinical departments and other sections.
The tour focused on the achievements of the departments through patient safety, as well as the achievements in combating infection and hand hygiene, as well as the sections with the least fall accidents, and the initiatives concerned with patient safety in general.
Dr. Al-Arfaj and his accompanying delegation praised the plans set by the departments to achieve the goal of patient safety, and he stressed that "there is serious and noticeable work in order to put patient safety first, as it is the focus of our work and for which we strive to provide outstanding medical services".
