It is with great pride that King Faisal Cardiac Centre announces the commencement of the Paediatric Cardiac Surgical and Interventional Program at King Faisal Cardiac Centre, MNGHA Western Region. This program was built on the comprehensive paediatric program already available at NGHA in the form of non-invasive services.
Many months and years have gone into planning the delivery of this highly complex and specialised service, with recruitment of a large and dedicated team of children’s health specialists from within the Kingdom and also from around the World.
In addition, the service was built to undertake even the most complex surgeries and interventions - bringing care for these children and their families closer to home and within NGHA, while eliminating the need for children and families to be referred to other specialist centres during what is always a stressful and difficult time.
Two children aged 7 and 5 yrs who were born with holes in their hearts were successfully operated on the 5th and 6th of July, 2015 and now both are recovering in King Faisal Cardiac Centre.
