The Department of Hematology Oncology in princess Noura AL Faisal Oncology Center- WR is managing all children age 0-14 years and is fully equipped with the state of art, advanced and latest high-tech modalities in the area of cancer treatment.
There are 12 oncological specialized clinics weekly, such as general oncology, benign hematology and, specialized clinic for children who required radiation therapy, pediatric endocrinology, long term follow up and infection disease and vaccination clinic. About 261 new child with cancer was accepted and treated last year in pediatric oncology center with 15% increment compared to the previous year, and 21,650 visits to the pediatric Ambulatory clinic area were recorded last year , the ward include a well-equipped playroom for children with different ages during their chemotherapy treatment.
All cases are accepted from all over the kingdom hospitals mostly the western, northern and southern regions.

Currently the Department of Pediatric Oncology includes 42 beds designated to treat all kinds of oncological tumors in children. Early diagnosis is conducted through the updated international laboratory tests followed by assignment to appropriate treatment plan that is conducted via multi-disciplinary and patient-centered team approach methods.
Registered patients directly visit the Pediatric Oncology Walk in Emergency Room (POWER) without passing by the emergency room, to assure maximum safety and rapid accessibility of health care system. Moreover, the family can reach the center through the 24/7 direct hotline.
