Under the patronage of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, –the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Department in collaboration with (KSAU-HS) launched the Pediatric Orthopedic Update Conference, which is held from the 27th till the 29th of September 2016 in the KSAU-HS Convention Center.
Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Consultant and Chairman of the Organizing Scientific Committee, Dr. Ayman Jawadi pointed out in his address that the conference will cover the latest scientific developments in pediatric orthopedic surgery with the participation of a group of the best international and local pediatric orthopedic surgeons. Also, the conference will address the latest treatments in various pediatric orthopedic diseases, in particular DDH, pelvis and hip malformation and different kinds of fractures, in addition to addressing the latest developments in spinal surgeries in children.
Moreover, H.E. Dr. Bandar Alknawy delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and highlighted the National Guard Health Affairs’ drive to hold such conferences that will benefit everyone through participation, interaction and presenting the latest developments in health sciences which will consequently improve the quality of healthcare facilities.
H.E. also added that the number of registered attendees which exceeded 1100 confirms the importance of the conference subject and the keen of the participants to know the latest developments in pediatric orthopedic surgery, which is one of KASCH priorities.
Moreover, H.E. extended his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness-Crown Prince, and to His Royal Highness- Deputy Crown Prince for their unlimited support to the health field, as well as extending his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, for his continuous support for holding such conferences that will benefit the medical services in general.
In addition, the conference included an exhibition, which was launched by Dr. Al Knawy, that showcased the latest developments presented by the center’s supervisors.
Last but not least, a number of workshops will be presented along the three days as the latest surgical skills will be discussed under the supervision of elite speakers and surgeons.
