Saudi Pediatrics Association President Dr. Abdullah Al Omair and Executive Director, Medical Services, PMBAH, Al Madinah, Dr. Walid Al Yafi launched the second medical scientific conference “Pediatric Update Conference”. This conference is organized by Saudi Pediatrics Association in collaboration with Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital - AlMadinah Al Munawwarah under the auspices of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy with the participation of a large number of leaders and officials from several government sectors in AlMadinah headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Taibah and Director of the Red Crescent Authority and Director of the Security Forces Center in Madinah.
Head of the organizing committee and The Saudi Pediatrics Association Vice President, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Twaim delivered a speech in which he pointed out that this conference, on its second version, is the 6th among conferences organized by Saudi Pediatrics Association. He also mentioned that the aim of these conferences is to develop the level of provided medical services and to raise the level of practical and scientific competence of physicians specialized in the field of pediatrics through discussing the medical updates in this field such as: (Autism, some syndromes affecting child health, and the effect of excessive use of smart devices).
Dr. Al Twaim pointed out that the organizing committee has created scientific committee headed by Child Consultant at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Saad Alsaedi. This committee keen to put many topics and medical updates in the field of pediatrics locally and internationally into discussion and research. Moreover, the conference provided more than 25 CME hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
