Pediatrics Department in King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah has launched the 1st Annual Pediatrics Course in Jeddah on Monday which lasts for three days. This course, which is considered as a specialized medical course for pediatric physicians and specialists, aims to discuss the most important topics in pediatrics field, increase the medical information among the participants, present lectures by a group of consultants, acquire the necessary basic knowledge and intensive study to pass Board Pediatrics Tests, in addition to establishing medical diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient's condition by asking many questions with multiple choices.
Moreover, Consultant and Head of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Dr. Mohammad Hassosah pointed out that this course is an opportunity for doctors and specialists to meet with a group of consultants in pediatrics field in order to acquire the necessary basic knowledge and to prepare for passing the Pediatrics Board Tests.
He also mentioned that this course targets physicians, health practitioners and residents as well it is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. In addition, he said that holding such courses is only to keep up with the continuous development in the field of health and safety of children, where the development in this area is great and new standards of diagnosis and treatment methods have been improved. Dr. Mohammad stressed that they have prepared studies and plans to increase medical information among the participants as well as they attract speakers in order to acquire new expertise and clinical skills to keep up with the speed development in pediatrics field.
In addition, he clarified that the course is characterized by diversity in participants where residents and specialists from Arab countries such as Qatar and Egypt participate. Also there are participants from the State of Pakistan and physicians coming from most Saudi hospitals.
In this regard, a group of Saudi prominent consultants in the field of pediatrics have participated in presenting lectures which makes this session the right place to see the latest updates in pediatrics at the local and international levels, as well attending international beside Saudi speakers will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience as the Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs always seeks to achieve that in order to contribute to the advancement of medical development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
