Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in AlMadinah AlMunawarah celebrated the 2015 International Nurses Week from 10th till the 14th of May 2015 under the slogan "Ethical Practice, Quality Care” through a number of social, entertaining and sport activities. Dr. Mansour Al Othman, Executive Director of Operations, PMBAH inaugurated the start of the week’s events by cutting the opening ribbon at the main entrance of the hospital. Mr. Mansour Al Askar, Deputy Executive Director of Operations, PMBAH and Ms. Amira Amatullah, Associate Executive Director of Nursing Services attended the opening ceremony, as well as a number of department managers and staff.
The ceremony included a presentation which highlighted the important role of nurses in the healthcare field in addition to the role of the nursing profession in Islam.
Moreover, thanks and appreciation were extended to the nursing staff for their remarkable efforts to provide optimal healthcare with the highest standards along with honoring the outstanding nursing staff with certificates and gifts.
Ms. Amira Amatullah, carried a message to all the nursing staff at the hospital where she acknowledged their efforts and urged them to aspire for more to achieve the desired excellence, praising their teamwork spirits.
It is worth mentioning that there were many of entertainment, sports and social competitions in which a large number of PMBAH staff has participated and the winners received gifts and cash prizes.
International Nurses Week 2015 included a drawing exhibition which was held in the main lobby of the hospital where it has been visited by a number of hospital staff from different departments as well as the visitors of the hospital.
