Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital under the Ministry of National Guard’s Health Affairs in Al Madina was placed first among governmental hospitals, third nationally and first among National Guard’s Health Affairs hospitals in regard to complying with the Essential National Requirements For Patient Safety (AMAN Program) as per the annual report generated by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) 2019, the hospital achieved a commitment rate of 99.53 out of 100 during the survey.
The Essential National Requirements for Patient Safety (AMAN Program) consists of a list of twenty national standards for hospitals that have been considered essential requirements to be fully complied with in order to ensure patient safety and avoid healthcare malpractice. These requirements include proper patient identification, verification of qualifications, reporting medication errors, safe blood transfusion, radiation safety and other requirements.
The Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mansour Bin Nasser Al-Askar expressed his gratitude and affirmed that this achievement is merely the result of the Hospital staff’s commitment toward the safety strategy of MNG-HA.
