Her Royal Highness Princess Adela bint Abdullah, President of both the National Family Safety Program (NFSP) and the Supervisory Board of the Child Helpline headed the 9th Child Helpline supervisory board meeting. The meeting discussed the operational capacity of the child Helpline; where the working hours have been increased to 14 hours a day, as well as increasing the number of female specialists who provide consultation and referral services to 22 specialist. The meeting also reviewed the child Helpline awareness campaigns which were supervised by the Sustainable Awareness Commission and the Ministry of Education.
Moreover, the board members congratulated Ms. Tahani Almajhad, NFSP Child Helpline Manager for being nominated by the International Organization for child Helplines to be the Deputy Regional Representative of CHI in MENA Region.
On the other hand, HRH Princess Adela bint Abdullah sponsored the first Social Support and Development Center consultative meeting, which aims to rehabilitate and empower individuals of abused families.
Furthermore, Dr. Maha Al Muneef, Executive Director of the National Family Safety Program, pointed out the role in which the NFSP play in order to prevent family violence and activate vital partnership with all relevant sectors. During the meeting, Ms. Fatima Al Shehri, Social Services Director, NFSP, reviewed the services models provided by victims of domestic violence rehabilitation centers around the world.
In addition, Ms. Modi Al-Zahrani, Manager of Social Protection and Hospitality Center - Riyadh gave a presentation in which she reviewed the center’s current services towards abused women.
Finally, an open discussion headed by Dr. Majid Alissa, Deputy Executive Director of NFSP was commenced to further discuss the project's vision and strategic objectives.
