The Guidance and Direction Department in the Ministry of National Guard, Western Region, and in cooperation with King Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah organized a scientific congress attended by Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court and Member of Senior Scholars Commission, HE Sheikh Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri, Executive Director of Medical Services - National Guard Health Affairs - the Western Region Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Ahmad Alblwy, in addition to Commander of the Military Field Medicine Unit, Brig. General Dhafir Algarni, Guidance and Direction Department director, Colonel Abdulhadi AlAmri, And a number of officers and military personnel from Military Field Medicine unit and the military police in addition to senior officials and employees of King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah.
The congress was part of a three-day awareness campaign to promote intellectual security in King Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah, which was launched in all units of the Ministry of National Guard in the western sector. The activities also included an awareness exhibition held at the main entrance targeting all visitors.
Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court and Member of Senior Scholars Commission, HE Sheikh Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri, delivered a lecture titled "Promoting Intellectual Security”, in which he spoke about the importance of enhancing the security by addressing the misguided groups.

The scientific congress was initiated by a welcoming speech delivered by the Executive Director of Medical Services - National Guard Health Affairs - the Western Region Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Zahrani, in which he commended the visit HE Sheikh Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri for participating in such campaign. Dr. Mohammed also added that security is one of the foremost important blessings of God Almighty on this country, and maintaining security takes many aspects, including intellectual security.
Furthermore, an exhibition was held for three consecutive days to highlight the vision of the Islamic religion towards extremism thought and the industry of intellectual terrorism.The exhibition has provided the visitors with printed materials in both English and Arabic targeting all groups.
