20 Lecture and 93 Poster Presentations were Presented

King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) in the Eastern Region held the 6th Research Day at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in Al Ahsa which received a large number of participation from researchers, medical personnel and University students. Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region noted that : “This research day is considered one of the most prominent scientific and medical events, as it brings together researchers and specialists in this field, which immensely contributes to their studies and their research which will ultimately raise the level of the medical service provided to patient".
He added: "The number of participants and the research showed the importance of this medical scientific event, and the broad participation from various hospitals and universities around the Kingdom is proof that this event is one of the leading conferences that various specialists waits for".
Furthermore, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) Executive Director Dr. Ahmed Alaskar, pointed out that: " KAIMRC main goal is direct attention to research and researchers and its most priority is for the medical field to be rich with developers researchers and we have this distinguished scientific resources who were the reason behind holding this conference for the six year.
Dr. Alaskar also added that "the KAIMRC’s tasks priorities involves encouraging scientific research, providing support to researchers to submit their studies in various fields of medicine, which is a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise to discover the deficiencies and negatives in their research in an attempt to avoid them in the future”.
He added: “The scientific research receives great encouragement from the government that exerts efforts to support it. KAIMRC is paying great attention to keep the level of research and development and to support the medical field through research.
the Head of King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, Dr. Ali Al-Qarni, pointed out that: more than 161 medical research were submitted, from which, 20 verbal discussions were selected to be presented as lectures and 93 research posters, all of which underwent arbitration and evaluation by specialists in this field".
Dr. Al-Qarni also added that “ several researchers from which are Consultants, Specialists and Students of Medical Colleges in the Kingdom. We notice huge increasing in the numbers of researchers comparing to last years . We are confirmed that this activity is an inspiration source to the researchers around the Kingdom.”
All research submissions are subject to arbitration and evaluation by a specialist jury. Out from 20 research list, Dr. mohammad Almuhaini has achieved first place and Dr. Munirah Al-Abd Al-Azim is the second while from a list of 93 research posters Ahmed al Wosaibei has achieved the first place and Muhammed Almuaigel is the second.
Dr. Al-Qarni said that ", and this scientific forum was launched in 2012, and we are still achieving amazing results in the past years, where we were able to celebrate research and researchers and encourage them to continue this major task, which in turn, enriched our medical scientific research database”.
