Under the auspices of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, the 19th Residents’ Day will be conducted on Tuesday, 11th April 2017 at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) Convention Centre. Higher leadership members from the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs (MNG-HA) and KSAU-HS as well as other distinguished guests from other hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are invited for this one day activity.
Residents’ Day has evolved over the years to be an essential annual event where residents of MNG-HA meet together on a common platform to look back and re-assess their performance from the previous year towards the pursuit of achieving the mission and vision of the MNG-HA. In addition, Residents’ Day is being celebrated every year and organized by the Residents’ Organizing Committee whereby all the residents are free from their clinical responsibilities in the hospital and awards will be presented during the celebration.
Moreover, the senior residents who have completed their residency training program will be recognized through a graduation ceremony for the 2016 academic year, as there are 89 residents graduates (30 females and 59 males). The main event of the day will be paper presentations presented by the residents as well awards will be presented for the best lecturers and best paper presentations in each program as well as graduation ceremony will be conducted for the final year residents who will be Board Eligible for the 2016 academic year.
Also, the residents are proud to present awards for their best lecturers in each program; those are the consultants who shared their expertise and valuable knowledge to the young residents who definitely have benefit greatly from their abilities.
Last but not least, in an effort to promote scientific excellence and encourage conducting more research, three awards will be given to the residents who presented the best research papers and three awards for the best posters in the Residents’ Day scientific program.
