The Department of Respiratory Services at King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa and Academic Affairs conducted the Fifth Conference on Respiratory Care Updates, attended by more than 120 participants, from both inside and outside the National Guard Health Affairs. The conference covered the most prominent and recent medical studies through intensive lectures and specialized workshops.
Regional Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs - Eastern Province, Dr. Ahmed Al Arfaj said:” that "This conference aims to raise the level of the medical staff, as a part of the National Guard Health Affairs’ policy, which aims to raise the efficiency and quality in providing health care."
Furthermore, the Manager of Respiratory Services of at King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa Sami Al Jerayed, that "among the papers presented was introducing the Saudi Society for Respiratory Care (SSRC), Easy Ways to Get More Oxygen, Recent Studies in Low-risk Ventilators, and Developments in Treating Sleep Disorders like snoring, anxiety, insomnia and others. "
He also explained that "the participants listened to a detailed explanation of the latest noninvasive ventilation medical device that can be used instead of the l traditional device in which a tube is inserted inside the respiratory tract, the new device gives results through blood only, without the need to extend tubes and has achieved higher successes rates".
The conference included four hands-on workshops on respiratory therapy devices, and was accredited by 16 CME hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
