Al Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital in Dammam held a safety week targeting its employees, patients and visitors through workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
Executive Regional Director of National Guard Health Affairs in Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmed Al Arfaj stressed that the National Guard Health Affairs has set a priority to adapt security and safety systems to its facilities and ensure that employees are trained on these systems, pointing out that the NGHA has specialized safety divisions that work to achieve these goals.
In this regard, the Director of Quality and Safety Management Department, Dr. Shaher Al Qahtani said that for an entire week the hospital held variety of activities with direct and indirect contact with employees done through extensive activities of security and safety systems.
This is the third year Al Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital holds this event with the participation of departments and divisions such as safety management, pharmacy, nursing, fire control, respiratory therapy, military police, laboratory, environmental services, maintenance, dental, radiology, and infection control.
Exhibitions were held along side these activities with continuous communication with the employees via e-mails, sending publications, instructions and pictures.
Moreover, the organizing committee took into consideration the applying of NGHA safety standards which are in accordance with international standards. During these activities the latest methods of fire prevention were discussed as well as that of hazardous chemicals, and how to better deal with materials and machines, and safety methods in using medical equipment.
